Our Pastor

Rev. Eddie Lake is an anointed man of God, called to lead God’s people into a deeper and more profound relationship with God. Pastor Lake desires to walk in God’s perfect will and to be a voice in this generation to advance the Kingdom of God. He is the son of the late John and Elaner, and a native of Tarpon Springs, FL. He is an ordained Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church.  He is happily married to his best friend, the lovely Rev. Dr. Paula who is also an ordained Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church.  He is the father of three children: Kalea, Jessica, and Eddie II (Deuce).

Pastor Lake completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida where he received a Bachelor of Science degree.  He also received a Master of Divinity in Theology from Turner Theological Seminary at The Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, GA.  Pastor Lake is studying toward the Doctor of Ministry degree at Ashland Theological Seminary in Ashland, OH.

Rev. Lake is currently the Senior Pastor of New Bethel AME Church in Lakeland, FL where God has anointed him with a vision of Hope, Help, and Healing of the whole person. Pastor Lake believes in the power of submitting to authority for protection and guidance. For every appointment he receives, he takes it on with gladness and a willingness to serve. His Spitiural father in ministry is the Rev. Dr. David W. Green who spoke into his life and gave wisdom and direction for ministry.

Rev. Lake is the former pastor of Greater Ward Chapel AME Church in Melbourne, FL, Greater Mt. Pleasant AME Church in Hollywood, FL, Mt. Olive AME Church in Fort Myers, FL and Greater Bethel AME Church in Miami, FL

Pastor Lake’s passion for ministry is to see the people of God walk in the promises of God as stated in 2 Peter 1:4 (NIV); “Through these He has given us His very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.” Pastor Lake believes with God all things are possible; and with your permission, your participation, and your passion there is nothing the enemy can do to stop you!
